Paul Janensch, professor emeritus of journalism, has been appointed a writing adjunct by Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum, Musaem An Ghorta Mhoir. Paul served on the School of Communication’s full time faculty from 1995 to 2009 and led the effort to establish the Master of Science in Journalism program. Later, as an adjunct, he conducted a senior seminar in the fall semesters.
Before coming to Quinnipiac, he was the top editor of three newspapers and worked in Russia as a newspaper consultant. He continues to do weekly commentaries for WQUN-AM and WQCS-FM in Florida. In addition, he is co-author of Dear Eva, a non-fiction play based on World War II letters. His goal at the Great Hunger Museum is to write about the devastating Irish potato famine, based on the museum’s extensive collection of documents.
